It was in 1898, in an indigo processing company in India, that Mrs. Edgar Hills started weaving carpets for her friends back home, in England. Thus was born E.Hill and Company - one of the oldest and most reputable hand-made floor-covering companies in India. Hills, as the company is popularly known in the carpet weaving belts of India, attached great value to the careful selection of its weavers, the raw materials used, and to the quality of its finished product. This is Hill's legacy, and these are the principles still jealously adhered to at Hills, even after a century.
